Smart Prepaid users can register their SIM cards via the telco's online SIM registration portal. This is required in order to comply with the SIM registration law, which seeks to prevent the spread of spam messages and scams. Failure to register your current or new Smart Prepaid SIM card within the specified period will result in deactivation. Thus, your SIM will be blocked from accessing outgoing or incoming calls, sending and receiving text messages, and even connecting to the internet.
