LoL Wild Rift Alpha test in PH, BR set in June 2020

The most-awaited MOBA game, League of Legends: Wild Rift, or simply LoL Wild Rift, will have a limited Alpha test in Philippines and Brazil in June 2020. LoL Wild Rift is one of the projects that Riot Games revealed during the League10 anniversary, along with TFT Mobile, Legends of Runeterra, Valorant and many more.

The Riot team has temporarily raised the required device specs to support a very limited alpha test in Philippines (PH) and Brazil (BR), which was set to release in June 2020. More information about the the game will be announced at the end of the May.

In addition to the announcement of alpha test in the Philippines and Brazil, LoL Wild Rift's Twitter account revealed the game's minimum requirements at launch. See the minimum specs required by LoL Wild Rift below.

These spec requirements may change as the game progresses closer to the launch date. But Wild Rift developers said that they are trying to make the game as accessible as possible: “We’re aiming to make the game available to as many devices as we can while not compromising on Wild Rift’s core gameplay.”

For those who are still not familiar with the game, here's some info. League of Legends: Wild Rift is a free-to-play MOBA game, a near-identical mobile version of the popular League of Legends for PC, and was developed and published by Riot Games.

The developer said that they built the game from scratch, so expect refreshed models, animations, game systems and more. The game is designed for faster matches and will incorporate a dual-stick control scheme. It will also have a 5v5 map based on League of Legends' largest map, Summoner's Rift. It will have a familiar 40 champions from the LoL's existing roster of champions, but more will be released in the future. It also features a Ranked ladder system. Like LoL PC, Wild Rift lets you prove yourself with high-skill champs, macro strategy, and myriad playstyles.

As of now, LoL Wild Rift doesn't support cross-platform gameplay between PC and mobile/console because it would require compromises of competitive integrity, and they want to make a gameplay comfortable on any platform. But they're still exploring the possibility of cross-platform play between mobile and console as they're trying to coordinate event themes and releases between League PC and Wild Rift.

League of Legends: Wild Rift is set to release globally sometime this year, although pre-registrations have opened in Southeast Asia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau. Alpha and beta testing have already started in China.

Interested players can pre-register through the Google Play Store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.riotgames.league.wildrift). It will also be released in the future in Apple App Store and in console devices.
