The League of Legends: Wild Rift's 2nd anniversary is coming soon and will land during Patch 3.4 (named Power Spike '22), as announced by Riot Games. During this 2-month patch (from September 15 - November 16), there will be new champions releases, events and champion skins.
Here's a preview of all the upcoming content for LoL Wild Rift Patch 3.4:
Champions
- Gwen (the Hallowed Seamstress) is a melee fighter champion. She travels to the top lane and longs to enjoy life—even if she does run with scissors.
- Yone (the Unforgotten) is a melee assassin champion. He slices his way back from the spirit realm as a melee mid and top laner.
- Warwick (the Uncaged Wrath of Zaun), a melee fighter champion, is a fearsome jungler who excels at chasing down low-health opponents from all over the map.
- Vex (the Gloomist) is a ranged mage champion. She rolls into the mid-lane harder than a teenager rolls her eyes. With the power of fear and her companion named Shadow, Vex is a combo-loaded Yordle of doom, gloom, and sarcasm.
Items and Enchants
Riot Games is upgrading the AP item system, which will include changes to items like Liandry's Torment and additions like Cosmic Drive. Additionally, the developers are introducing two new Support starting items, the Spectral Sickle and the Relic Shield, each with a unique emphasis on offensive and defensive capabilities. As long as you have an ally nearby, both items grant up to three charges that you can use to exert lane pressure and earn additional gold. To complement the items, Riot is also adding and upgrading some Support Enchants. Check out the highlights below.
- Riftmaker: You gain a stack of omnivamp when engaged in combat with champions. Each stack increases your damage output. At maximum stacks, the added damage becomes true damage.
- Serpent's Fang: An item Riot Games is bringing directly from PC League of Legends as an anti-shielding AD assassin output. This works similarly to its PC counterpart, being more effective against melee users and reducing current and future shields for a brief duration after the user of Serpent's Fang hits an enemy champion.
- Imperial Mandate: Very comparable to its PC counterpart, granting a payout in bonus damage and marking opponents for slowing or immobilizing enemy champions. The marks can then be consumed by allies for increased damage and movement speed.
- Cosmic Drive: Active abilities and empowered attacks that deal damage to an enemy champion grant Ability Haste as Movement Speed. This movement speed will gradually decrease. The other passive Hyperdrive of Cosmic Drive will also provide movement speed.
- Relic Shield: Earn gold to transform this item into Targon's Buckler. While in close proximity to an ally champion, abilities and attacks require a charge to execute minions below a certain percentage of their maximum health. The killing of a minion grants you and your ally a portion of the gold from the kill and heals you. Note that these effects recharge.
- Spectral Sickle: Gain Attack Damage/AD or Ability Power/AP (Adaptive). While near an ally, abilities and attacks that deal damage to champions or structures grant gold. Every second, these effects are refreshed. Earn gold with this item in order to transform it into Harrowing Crescent.
- Meteor Enchant: Lights up an area and summons a meteor after, dealing a percentage of each enemy's maximum health as magic damage.
- Protect Enchant: Increases the power of the next heal or shield ability you use. It has no effect on healing or protection from items or runes.
Duel Mode
Riot Games is experimenting with a brand-new 1v1 game mode for Wild Rift. In Howling Abyss, queue up to do battle with a single PvP opponent.
Ranked
The game developer has been keeping a close eye on Legendary Queue and has some upcoming updates. High-ranking, competitive players want to know that their teammates are using their best champions, so the developers are introducing a new gate for the Legendary queue that is based on your champion Mastery score. It will restrict you to champions for which you have sufficient Mastery. If you wish to play a new champion, you must first gain experience in another queue.
Moreover, another ranked season means unlocking yet another magnificent champion. The glorious Crimson Draven arrives to take control of Season 7 of Ranked. Play ranked games beginning in October 2022 to unlock him from the Season Rewards tab.
Wild Pass
Changes have been made to the Wild Pass progression and reward claims.
"Bonus Rewards" has been renamed "Wild Pass Emporium." Pass progression is shifting from a linear path for Levels 51 to 75 to an Exchange where rewards can be claimed in any order. Collecting sufficient Emporium rewards grants you the Wild Pass Skin Upgrade.
In addition, there are two new methods for earning experience. All players will have access to a set of simple, repeatable match missions that provide a steady stream of Wild Pass Experience. These missions have a weekly cap and reset, giving players a steady stream of progress simply for playing games.
New Seasonal Missions are being added to assist Elite Pass purchasers in acquiring all the rewards they desire from the Wild Pass Emporium.
Finally, Elite Pass purchasers will receive a new Random Skin chest at level 1. However, rather than receiving a random skin, you can limit the options to a single lane role: solo lane, mid, jungle, duo lane, or support.
The superhero Jayce is prepared to leap over tall structures and engage in team battles. Unlock him when your Wild Pass reaches level 50. Earn this skin by playing matches and claiming it from the Wild Pass Emporium.
Events
Riot Games has prepared numerous events for this patch, beginning with Yone's Arrival. The Rift's creators welcome this courageous swordsman with new missions and rewards.
After that, October is action-packed in Wild Rift, beginning with a high-stakes battle between master fighters. During the Supreme Cells Event, choose a side and compete in an epic martial arts tournament for honor and victory. This idle game will allow you to train your fighter so he can compete in the tournament and earn you rewards, even if you are unable to queue every day.
Riot Games, like the competitors in the tournament, has been training and studying the Rift over the past several years. Using everything they've learned, they'll throw a party for all the players and distribute free goodies at the Power Spike Party. Over the past 2 years, the game developers have enjoyed hearing your feedback, witnessing your insane smite steals, 1v5 clutches, backdoor Mundos, and seeing your dedication and passion for Wild Rift.
Additionally, there is the Bewitching Vex Bingo event. Laugh and play a little B-I-N-G-O to welcome the game's most brooding yordle to Wild Rift with her preferred thing of all: a smile.
