TechLife Pad Lite 8", a new entry-level Android tablet with a detachable stand, launched in the Philippines on July 11, 2025, with a budget-friendly price tag of 4,999 Pesos, and it received massive demand from Filipino customers. Like other Pad series tablets (TechLife Pad and Pad Plus 12") I've reviewed, the Pad Lite 8" is also compact and durable.
Besides being one of the most affordable in its segment, the TechLife Pad Lite 8" highlights a 90Hz HD LCD display, a large 6000mAh dual-cell battery, and 4G LTE connectivity.
I did an in-depth review of TechLife Pad Lite 8", which you can read below, covering the tablet's features, Antutu score, performance on different mobile games, and battery test.

- Pad Lite 8" (main unit) x1

- Plastic Screen Protector (pre-installed)
Design and Build Quality
My TechLife Pad Lite 8" is the Champagne Gold variant, which looks trendy and luxurious, particularly when the sun shines on it. It has a plastic back with a matte finish, which feels really smooth, flat sides, and rounded corners. Its compact 8-inch LCD display has a pre-installed plastic screen protector, which, for me, is a necessity because of its decent protection from minor scratches.

Though it has a smooth feel, the tablet's back panel is an easy magnet for fingerprint smudges based on my experience, but it's not too visible unless light reflects on it. When I notice dirt or smudge accumulating, I simply wipe it off with my shirt.
Since the TechLife Pad Lite 8" has a big display, I really anticipated that it would feel heavy. However, the 8-inch Android tablet is surprisingly quite light at 338 grams. I am comfortable holding it with one hand, even for long hours, but handling experience is much better with two hands. I usually use its detachable stand when playing games, as I can relax my hands when not navigating in-game controls.

The front panel is flat and has relatively thick screen bezels. There is also a single front-facing 5MP camera for selfies and video calls. The rear side's capsule-like bump houses the 5MP main camera and LED flash. When I put the device on a table, it just remains stable, no wobbling at all, even when I tap it.

Holding the TechLife Pad Lite 8" vertically, there are two speakers (8-holed grills each) at the bottom. At the top, you can find the USB-C port alongside the card tray, which supports two nano-SIMs or allows you to swap one for a microSD card. On the right side, there’s a 3.5mm headphone jack, a sturdy volume rocker, and the power button. The left side is blank, which I prefer as the bottom side when the tablet is placed horizontally.
Display, Speaker Quality, and Biometrics
The 8-inch LCD screen of the TechLife Pad Lite 8" features an HD resolution (800x1280 pixels) and a smooth 90Hz refresh rate (still, there's a 60Hz option if you want to conserve battery). This tablet's display size and resolution are ideal, based on my experience, if you want to see the whole content on one page immediately. Helpful when you're into internet browsing, online learning, video chats, streaming, and casual gaming.

Since TechLife Pad Lite 8" has an HD display, details of content are so clear and vivid, whether video, text, or picture. The 90Hz screen refresh rate is really a plus for me, as it smoothens transitions and the scrolling experience. When I did online YouTube video streaming, I could play both video qualities, 720p and 1080p. Further, the display is very bright when set to max brightness.
For audio, the TechLife Pad Lite 8" features dual stereo speakers on the bottom side. Though no certifications, the two speakers deliver impressive sound quality, especially when I'm listening to my favorite upbeat anime OSTs, and the balance is great. The volume control has 15 increments from 0 to 100 percent.
Device security includes a password (at least four alphanumeric characters), pattern, PIN (4 to 6 digits), and face unlock, which I prefer. Go to Settings > Device Unlock to set up your desired security. Biometrics-wise, this tablet's face recognition feature was surprisingly fast.
Hardware and Software
The TechLife Pad Lite 8" has 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB storage and supports a micro SD card slot (up to 1TB via the Hybrid SIM tray). It can go up to 8GB of total RAM with the Memory Fusion feature, which uses up to 4GB of the device's internal storage to act as Virtual RAM to allow smoother app switching and faster app launches. Further, the high RAM capacity enables the tablet to handle several apps simultaneously without lag. The device also supports up to 2TB OTG, allowing easy file transfer from the tablet to supported flash drives, hard drives, and vice versa.

To expand the TechLife Pad Lite 8" RAM, go to Settings > Storage > Memory Fusion, toggle the switch to enable it (must be in color blue), tap Expansion capacity selection, and choose 2/3/4GB. The modification will take effect after the device restarts.
Additionally, TechLife Pad Lite 8" is powered by a 12nm Unisoc T606 octa-core processor. The entry-level, energy-efficient 4G chipset delivers smooth performance for everyday tasks such as browsing, streaming, and light gaming. It offers modest gaming performance for competitive games such as MOBA games at medium graphics and resolution settings, and can also handle basic tasks with decent loading times for office-oriented applications such as Microsoft Office and WPS for tablets.
In my test, TechLife Pad Lite 8" managed to run the top mobile MOBA games smoothly with minimal frame drops. The MOBAs I played were Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), Honor of Kings (HOK), and LoL Wild Rift (WR), and all are tested in default graphics settings. I also enabled Game Turbo via GameSpace for a smoother game experience. Despite smooth gameplay in-game, I experienced some lag when navigating their main lobbies, which I suspect is due to animations (much better if they have a static homepage option).

Connectivity-wise, the device supports 4G LTE (2 nano SIMs), giving you the flexibility to browse, stream, and game on the go or in places where WiFi connection isn't available. Since most areas in the Philippines are now covered by 4G LTE networks (Globe, DITO, or Smart), users experience fast internet speeds. It can also act as a WiFi source for other devices (up to 10) with mobile data sharing or hotspot. Additionally, it supports Voice over LTE (VoLTE) for crystal clear calls and uninterrupted access to mobile data while on a call. Other connectivity features include Bluetooth, dual-band WiFi, and USB OTG.
Connected to an 80 Mbps WiFi connection, TechLife Pad Lite 8" registered 73 Mbps internet speeds.

The TechLife Pad Lite 8" packs a massive 6,000mAh dual-cell battery with support for standard 10W charging via USB-C. In my test, charging time from 26 to 100 percent is 2 hours and 42 minutes.

I'm also happy with its battery performance because I was able to achieve 11 hours and 24 minutes of screen-on time: 4 hours on Wild Rift and more than 3 hours on both HOK and MLBB. It also supports 5W wired reverse charging, so if your other phones and tablets are low on power, you can utilize it as a backup power bank.

When it comes to software, TechLife Pad Lite 8" runs on an Android 15 OS with TechLife Pad UI with support for Google Gemini for enhanced AI assistant integration. It also comes with Kids Space with in-tablet parental controls and content curation.

Other Google's suite of products pre-installed on the device are Calendar, Chrome, Drive, Files, Find Device, Gmail, Google TV, Google, Keep Notes, Maps, Meet, Messages, Phone, Photos, Play Games, Play Store, Safety, YouTube, and YT Music. Since it has a custom TechLife Pad UI skin, it is pre-installed with other apps, which I do find unobtrusive and can't be considered bloatware, such as Easy Launcher, Child Mode, Easy Share, FM Radio, GameSpace, FrozenApp, Health, Theme, and Tablet Manager. It also includes a split-screen feature that comes in handy when opening an internet browser and watching a video at the same time.
Antutu Score
I conducted a performance test of the TechLife Pad Lite 8" using the Antutu Benchmark app version 10.5.1.

The Android tablet (TechLife TLPADL03) reached 238,898 points. Here's the breakdown of its 238k Antutu score: 82,638 (CPU), 23,994 (GPU), 71,426 (MEM), and 60,840 (UX). Temperature records for the battery were 36.6°C (initial) and 36.6°C (final), and for the CPU, were 43°C (initial) and 45.2°C (final).
Camera Quality
The TechLife Pad Lite 8" features one 5-megapixel camera (a decent sensor size for capturing adequate light) on the back and also a 5-megapixel front camera (located on the top side in vertical orientation) for online video chats and quick selfies. Both front and back lenses can record video in 1080p at 30 frames per second (fps) quality.
The camera app has a wide variety of shooting modes: Capture (Photo), Video, Panorama, Portrait, Pro, Time Lapse, Audio Note, QR Code, and Night. Optional enhancements include filters, HDR, and beautify.
Given that the TechLife Pad Lite 8" falls into the entry-level tablet category, I didn't expect it to deliver high-quality shots, just decent ones.
Below, you can see the images I captured using the device's default camera settings. The pictures turned out a bit grainy and somewhat dim, primarily because I've snapped them indoors.

Final Thoughts
I highly recommend TechLife Pad Lite 8" for those looking for an 8-inch Android tablet that is fast, durable, and affordable, a big plus for students on a tight budget. Under PHP 5K, this can be your companion device. What's more interesting is that it has a detachable stand, a must-have accessory for devices with large screens like this. Comfortably watch films, work on several office and worksheet files, browse the web, read social media feeds, play online games, do split-screen multitasking, and conduct conference calls.
Further, this budget Android tablet has a long-lasting 6000mAh battery with support for standard USB-C 10W charging and a very handy 5W reverse charging. For any digital activities, I assure you that you can depend on this tablet to perform well wherever you use it, be it at school, work, or your home. – PinoyTechSaga
