Genshin Impact Version 5.3 Update Overview
The final battle has begun, calling Natlan's warriors to join the fight in Act V of Natlan's Archon Quest. In the previous chapter, six heroes of Natlan came together, and the sacred blessing of the Ode of Resurrection was given to all Natlanese warriors. Now, the Traveler is close to awakening their Pyro power. At the same time, a new evil boss from the Abyss is about to emerge for the final battle: the fearsome Abyssal Mimic Dragon, also known as the "Lord of Eroded Primal Fire."
Mavuika, the Pyro Archon Haborym, is known as Natlan's brightest protector during the Abyss wars. She fights in two ways: with her claymore or by riding her Flamestrider. Using her Elemental Skill, Mavuika creates the Ring of Searing Radiance, which follows her or the active character and triggers continuous Pyro attacks. If she holds her Elemental Skill, she can mount her Flamestrider. This allows her to climb cliffs, travel over land and water, glide in the air, and charge at enemies. When Mavuika fights with her teammates, she gains a resource called Fighting Spirit. This unique resource helps activate her Elemental Burst, which unleashes a strong AoE (area of effect) Pyro attack. During this burst, she enters a special state that makes her more resistant to interruptions and boosts her combat power. Additionally, Mavuika reduces the cooldown of the party's Nightsoul Transmission by 20 percent. Players can learn more about Mavuika in her Story Quest, which is available after finishing the latest Archon Quest.
Citlali, also known as "Granny Itztli," is a 5-star Cryo Catalyst user who brings cold to the battlefield. She is a powerful Shaman respected by her tribe and is always with her cute companions, Itzpapa and Citlalin. When exploring, they transform into cushions that let Citlali float comfortably in mid-air. In combat, she can create Cryo shields and summon a strong Cryo storm of AoE DMG. While in her Nightsoul's Blessing state, Citlali reduces the Pyro and Hydro RES (resistance) of opponents who are affected by Frozen or Melt reactions, even when she is not on the field.
A new character from Liyue named Lan Yan will be introduced as a 4-star Anemo Catalyst user in the second half of Version 5.3. She has a skill called the Swallow-Wisp Shield, which can convert her Element to Hydro, Pyro, Cryo, or Electro. This allows her to absorb damage from those elements. After changing her Element, Lan Yan can jump into the air and attack, inflicting the same type of Elemental DMG on her enemies.
Let us move on to the upcoming Genshin Impact banners. In Version 5.3's Event Wishes, new characters, Mavuika and Citlali, will be introduced in the first half. Reruns for Arlecchino and Clorinde will arrive in the second half. Meanwhile, more 5-star characters, including Ganyu and Shenhe, will return in the next Chronicled Wish.
On the other hand, Liyue Harbor will be filled with joy during the Lantern Rite as players can enjoy various free rewards. Through in-game mail, they can receive Primogems x1600 and the new glider "Wings of Fate's Course Intertwined." Through the daily login event, they can earn Intertwined Fate x10. Players can also get a free 4-star Liyue character by completing the Lantern Rite event and a new outfit for Xiangling by gathering Festive Fever during the event.
This new year, players can enjoy mini-games and events that make the festivities even more exciting. You can share your customized gift envelopes with friends and other Travelers. This is a nice way to express your best wishes. Players can also join the block-clearing mini-game called "Immortal Combat" and take on a combat challenge with Stratagem buffs to earn Festive Fever. When your Festive Fever achieves a certain level, you can get Xiangling's latest outfit, "New Year's Cheer," and other bonuses. Hu Tao's new skin, "Cherries Snow-Laden," will be available for a limited-time discount in the Shop.
On top of that, Genshin Impact Version 5.3 Update introduces new features for different game modes. The famous rhythm game will now be a permanent mode, allowing players to compose and share their own musical scores. Players can also earn Kazuha and Ganyu's Echo cosmetics in the Imaginarium Theater lobby by completing new challenges.
Additionally, this update aims to optimize the character level-up process. The character interface now has a button that takes you directly to the Training Guide. The sections about Artifacts, Weapons, and Characters in the Training Guide are now clearer and easier to understand. The limit for Artifact Inventory will increase to 2,100, giving players more room to manage their Artifacts. Also, Boss enemies will respawn in only 5 seconds after you claim rewards, so you won't need to teleport away, making it easier and faster to collect materials for character level-ups.
The release date of the Genshin Impact 5.3 update is January 1, 2025, featuring Pyro Archon Mavuika's battle in the main story and the Lantern Rite Festival. Players can enjoy this action RPG on PC, Android, iOS, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms thanks to cross-progression and co-op features.
