Honkai Star Rail 2.7 Update to release on December 4, 2024

Honkai Star Rail 2.7 Update is slated for release on December 4, 2024, HoYoverse announced. The latest Honkai Star Rail version 2.7 patch, titled "A New Venture on the Eighth Dawn," brings two new playable characters, including Sunday and Fugue.

Moreover, the Version 2.7 update of Honkai Star Rail (HSR) will be the last chapter before the Express travels to the mysterious land of Amphoreus, known as the Eternal Land. Further, the Crew finishes their time in Penacony as they reconnect with friends and make great memories before starting their next adventure.

Meanwhile, HSR players will have the chance to obtain 5-star characters, Jing Yuan and Firefly, for a limited time during their rerun in the new banner.

Further, Version 2.7 also gives players a chance to enjoy a new Party Car on the Astral Express. This new room combines elegance with nostalgia, providing an immersive experience.

Importantly, from Version 2.7 to Version 3.2, Honkai Star Rail players can claim the "Gift of the Express." This lets them choose one regular 5-star character they want.

Honkai Star Rail Version 2.7 Update Overview

In the last story arc, Black Swan encouraged the Crew to explore Amphoreus, a mysterious realm that even Akivili, the Aeon of Trailblaze, could not access. Eager but careful, Navigator Miss Himeko decides to gather information about this place. Meanwhile, the Crew finally stops in Penacony, where they reunite with old friends and create lasting memories before starting their next journey.

The memories of the performance at the Penacony Grand Theater remain vivid. After stepping down as the head of the Oak Family, Sunday has decided to come down to the mortal world to see what it is really like. He has put aside the blessings from both Harmony and Order and wants to create a better world as a regular mortal. With the aid of a secret Pepeshi named Wonweek, he comes back to Penacony with a wish—to give a final, memorable performance before starting his new journey. He wears a new robe and hood to hide his identity for his last dance in the "Planet of Festivities."

In-game, Sunday is a 5-star Imaginary character with unique support skills. His Skill lets teammates act right away and boosts the damage they deal. If a teammate has a summon, both can act immediately, and the damage boost is even stronger. Sunday's Ultimate can restore Energy for one teammate and give that character and their summon a blessing called "The Beatified." A halo will occur on the blessed teammate, increasing their critical damage.

A new character, Fugue, is also joining the roster soon. Players will remember her as their old friend, Tingyun. She was once a clever foxian girl, but now her name, look, and identity have been taken from her. Despite this, she still has a small hope for the future, even though the mark of Destruction remains active within her. Tingyun narrowly escaped death after a battle with Phantylia in the version 1.2 main storyline. Madam Ruan Mei from the Genius Society saved her and gave her a second chance at life. Recently, Welt and Himeko visited Madam Ruan Mei and took it upon themselves to help bring Tingyun home, starting her journey back to familiar places.

In-game, Fugue is a 5-star Fire character with an affinity to support one teammate in reducing opponents' Toughness, regardless of their Weakness Type. In battle, Fugue applies a "Cloudflame Luster" effect to enemy targets. When this effect reaches 0, the target takes Weakness Break damage again. Additionally, when teammates attack enemies that are Weakness Broken, they deal Super Break damage. Fugue can also boost her allies' Break Effects using her Skill. When she uses her Ultimate, she deals Fire damage to all foes, regardless of Weakness Type, and directly lowers all enemies' Toughness.

On the other hand, General Jing Yuan and Firefly, both limited 5-star characters, will return in the Honkai Star Rail Version 2.7 warp event (banner). General Jing Yuan will appear in the first half, and Firefly will return in the second half. Their strong abilities make them valuable allies for your future adventures.

Moreover, version 2.7 introduces a new Party Car on the Astral Express. This area combines elegance with a nostalgic feel. It features a spacious reception area, a luxury marble bar, and a classic bartending robot. Players can relax with drinks and the Express Crew or take a moment to reflect by the window, enjoying the view of the Cosmos.

Players will discover the Trailblazer's quarters by climbing the stairs. In the "Cosmic Home Décor Guide" event, they'll turn a storage room into a cozy space by adding a bedroom and bathroom. Using Express Funds that they earned from tasks, Trailblazers collect furniture to create a space that showcases their travel through the stars.

As Honkai Star Rail gets ready for Version 3.0, the game will add the Path of Remembrance. This new feature will include characters with special summons called memosprites. Each memosprite will have unique abilities in battle. They will join your allies on this Path and make each encounter more strategic.

In addition, the Relic system will undergo an update in Version 3.0. Players will be able to choose both the Main Stat and Subsidiary Stats of a Relic during synthesis using specialized tools. By utilizing a certain amount of the new item called Wishful Resin, along with Self-Modeling Resin, HSR players can set both the Main and Sub Stats of a Relic at the same time.

One last good news. Between the Version 2.7 update and the conclusion of Version 3.2, players will have the chance to claim the "Gift of the Express." This reward allows them to choose one regular 5-star character of their liking.
