Honkai Star Rail 2.4 Update is slated for release on July 31, 2024, HoYoverse announced. The latest Honkai Star Rail version 2.4 patch, titled "Finest Duel Under the Pristine Blue," brings two new playable characters, including Yunli and Jiaoqiu.

Honkai Star Rail Version 2.4 Update Overview

The exciting Wardance ceremony story will unfold in the latest patch. Players are vital witnesses to Xianzhou Luofu's story, even when the Ambrosial Arbor crisis is over. Wardance celebrates the Reighbow Arbiter and Cloud Knight's victory over the Abominations of Abundance. After the crisis, this year's Wardance invites allies and friends to boost Luofu residents' spirits and show peace and hospitality. Trailblazers will recognize Yanqing and meet important figures like the Merlin's Claw (General Feixiao of Xianzhou Yaoqing) and the Flaming Heart (General Huaiyan of Xianzhou Zhuming).

Moreover, the Shackling Prison map will debut in Version 2.4. The Ten-Lords Commission oversees Xueyi and Hanya's work at this powerful facility. The Shackling Prison houses the realm's most prominent criminals, and its frigid, forbidding entrance is buried beneath Scalegorge Waterscape, adding to its mystery. Trailblazers reach the dispatch hub via the Sea-Stilling Gate. Prison floors fall into the darkness below the hub, their depth unknown. Borisin, wolflike monsters inhabiting The Shackling Prison, are vicious and have Moon Rage.

The upcoming version will introduce the five-star character Yunli as a Xianzhou Zhuming representative during the Wardance ceremony. The cherished granddaughter of "Flaming Heart" General Huaiyan, Yunli is a simple sword hunter. Since childhood, Huaiyan has taught her swordsmanship and forging, making her the Flamewheel Octet's second-youngest prodigy swordmaster.

In combat, Yunli distinguishes herself as a Physical-Type character who adheres to the Path of Destruction through her distinctive Counter ability. She promptly Counters an attack, inflicting damage on the target and adjacent enemies. Additionally, Yunli achieves the Parry state after employing her Ultimate, which results in a reduction in damage and the taunting of all enemies. The most significant aspect of this state is that Yunli's CRIT DMG will be significantly increased, and her ordinary Counter will be upgraded to a Powerful Counter, which will inflict higher damage.

In the Version 2.4 storyline, Yanqing and Yunli engage in a dispute regarding their swordsmanship abilities, which culminates in their mutual decision to instruct March 7th in swordplay.

Further, the new five-star character Jiaoqiu represents Xianzhou Yaoqing delegates alongside Yunli. Jiaoqiu, a foxian healer and counselor, comes from a prominent Alchemy Commission family. Under his friendly grin is a shrewd personality. Jiaoqiu's alchemical prescriptions, especially food-as-medicine, are unmatched. His talent is finding flavorful dishes and creating distinctive spiced recipes.

Jiaoqiu's abilities are both formidable and distinctive as a Fire-Type character on the Path of Nihility. The Ashen Roast debuff may be inflicted by any attack that Jiaoqiu executes. Ashen Roast inflicts the Burn state upon the enemy. As the number of Ashen Roast stacks increases, the damage that enemies incur will also rise. The battlefield undergoes a transformation into a massive yuanyang hot pot when Jiaoqiu activates his Ultimate, which intensifies the effects of Ashen Roast on enemies that are already affected in accordance with the current maximum number of stacks. This also generates a field that persists for several turns, during which enemies may accumulate additional charges of Ashen Roast, and experience increased Ultimate DMG during their actions. This debuff expedites the acquisition of Ultimate charges for teammates such as Acheron, thereby improving their combat capabilities.

On the other hand, March 7th, a promising young student, returns to Xianzhou Luofu excited for the Wardance and joyfully joins Yunli and Yanqing as a swordmaster apprentice.

March 7th designates an ally as her Shifu and provides them with a special beverage to enhance their SPD during combat when utilizing her Skill. March 7th adjusts her style in accordance with the actions of her Shifu. Charges are acquired by March 7th when her Shifu executes a specific action. She immediately resumes action and acquires an Enhanced Basic ATK when Charges reach a set number of stacks. Furthermore, her attacks will acquire additional effects contingent upon the path of her Shifu. For example, Shifus on the Paths of Destruction, The Hunt, or Erudition can improve specific attacks to inflict additional DMG, while those on the Paths of Nihility, Preservation, Harmony, or Abundance can boost the Toughness Reduction of specific attacks.
