Genshin Impact 4.7 Update: Release Date, Banners, Events

Genshin Impact 4.7 update is slated for release on June 5, 2024, HoYoverse announced. The latest Genshin Impact version 4.7 patch, titled "An Everlasting Dream Intertwined," brings several updates. Check out more details below.

This new version will introduce three new playable characters, Clorinde, Sethos, and Sigewinne, and another long-term Challenge Domain besides the Spiral Abyss. The story's mainline will also progress with the Traveler twins and Dainsleif in the new Archon Quest.

• A new long-term Challenge Domain, "Imaginarium Theater", is reset monthly with new rules and richer rewards.
• Two new five-stars, Clorinde, wielding a pistolet and blade, and Sigewinne, with a bubble-themed healing skill, both under the Bond of Life mechanics, as well as new four-star, Sethos, with piercing arrows.
• New Archon Quest story for the Traveler twins, Dainsleif, and the secrets of Khaenri'ah.
• A new season of the tower-defense mini-game to deploy monster troops.
• The maximum cap of the Original Resin increased from 160 to 200.

New Characters: Clorinde, Sethos, and Sigewinne

In the wake of Arlecchino, players will be seeing the arrival of two playable characters (Clorinde and Sigewinne) who can use the Bond of Life mechanic in various ways. Besides these two Fontainian characters, players will also see the debut of the new four-star archer Sethos.

Clorinde is a five-star Electro sword wielder and a Champion Duelist of Fontaine. Clorinde has the ability to switch between various attack styles while in the "Night Vigil" state. She can employ piercing pistolet attacks to accumulate Bond of Life and a devastating lunging sword attack that clears her Bond of Life and restores her HP. The Bond of Life is increased by the healing effects she receives through alternative means during her "Night Vigil" state rather than her HP.

Sigewinne, the chief nurse of the Fortress of Meropide and a Melusine, utilizes the Bond of Life to assist her teammates. The total Bond of Life values of all the characters in her party will be used to increase her healing. Sigewinne has the ability to discharge a massive bouncing bubble during combat in order to trap and attack adjacent enemies, as well as to heal and buff her team.

Sethos, the new four-star character, is capable of firing piercing Electro arrows. Sethos's Charge Level 2 attack constrains his mobility, but it delivers a powerful, piercing shot. However, the successor to the Temple of Silence has the ability to perform a ritual using his Elemental Skill. This involves consuming Elemental Energy to reduce the charging time and subsequently restoring it whenever his attacks trigger any sort of Electro-related Elemental Reaction. Additionally, his Elemental Burst has the capability to discharge a series of enemy-piercing bolts.

• Phase 1
• Boosted Drop Rate for "Candlebearer, Shadowhunter" Clorinde (Electro) and "Admonishing Instruction" Alhaitham (Dendro)
• Sethos will also appear in the event wishes "Illuminating Lightning" and "Caution in Confidence," in which he will receive a huge drop-rate boost.

• Phase 2
• Boosted Drop Rate for "Wondrous Dragonheir" Sigewinne (Hydro) and "Endless Solo of Solitude" Furina (Hydro)

Clorinde and Sethos will be featured in the first half of the Version 4.7 Event Wishes, with Alhaitham's reprise, while Sigewinne will be featured in the second half, alongside Furina's rerun. Players will also have access to Clorinde and Sigewinne's Story Quests.

Challenge Domain: Imaginarium Theater

A new monthly reset challenge domain, "Imaginarium Theater," will be introduced in a concealed chamber within Mondstadt Library on July 1, 2024. Additionally, the Spiral Abyss will transition to a monthly update cycle on the 16th day of each month. Imaginarium Theater provides combat challenges of varying degrees of difficulty; however, only characters from specific elements (with a few exceptions) are permitted to participate, and the number of times they can engage in combat is limited. During the challenge, players will get different buffs and debuffs, and they can slowly assemble and adjust their team builds using the characters they own, the six characters chosen by the domain at the start, their friends' Supporting Cast characters, and some special guests.

Richer rewards are also available in a greater number of challenge domains. At present, the "Imaginarium Theater" offers its champions a monthly reward of up to Primogems ×620, a collection of new photo poses for specific characters, new bonuses for first-time completion, and "Fantastical Blessings" that will be applicable in the open world for the six designated characters of the month. On the other hand, the total number of Primogem rewards from Floors 9 to 12 of the Spiral Abyss will be raised to 800.

New Events

The latest update will include additional optimizations and mini-games. The "Mutual Security Enhancing Simulation" tower defense mini-game enables players to deploy their own monster forces in offensive or defensive games. Additionally, the Original Resin limit will be increased from 160 to 200 to further improve the daily gaming experience.
