Genshin Impact 4.5 Update: Release Date, Banners, Events

Genshin Impact 4.5 update is slated for release on March 13, 2024, HoYoverse announced. The latest Genshin Impact version 4.5 patch, titled "Blades Weaving Betwixt Brocade," brings several updates. Check out more details below.

This new update will allow players to manage a potion shop in Mondstadt and feature Chiori, the genius fashion designer and owner of "Chioriya Boutique," who will join as a playable character. Moreover, this update adds system optimizations for character enhancements and the new "Chronicled Wish," which includes both characters and weapons.

New Events

In the latest major seasonal event called "Alchemical Ascension," Genshin impact players can answer the Knights of Favonius' call and help Lisa manage an alchemical potion shop. The task is to promote the local business by handling every step of the production process. This includes cultivating ingredients, concocting potions, and selling them to customers. The more revenue the players generate, the more they can expand their business by purchasing more operational facilities and exquisite potion bottles.

Further, players have the opportunity to interact with familiar characters and make deals with them. These deals can result in the exchange of various rewards, one of which is the exclusive 4-star polearm "Dialogues of the Desert Sages."

In addition to this, players who want to take a break from their adventures can play with the cats in the "Feline Fortress Furrdyssey" or engage in some cannon-firing gameplay in the "Rolling Crossfire" event.

New Character: Chiori

Chiori, the brilliant fashion designer from Inazuma and the owner of Chioriya Boutique in Fontaine, will be added to the game as a 5-star Geo sword wielder. In the upcoming update, players will have the opportunity to learn more about her.

In battles, Chiori is capable of summoning her automaton doll and design assistant named "Tamoto," who will deal DMG based on her Defense and Attack. If there is a Geo Construct nearby, Chiori will summon an additional "Tamoto." Moreover, when casting her Elemental Burst, she will draw her twin blades and deal a clean cut that causes AoE Geo DMG.

While exploring, Chiori can increase party members' Movement Speed by 10% if at least one party member is wearing a non-default outfit or wind glider. In addition, in her latest Story Quest, Chiori will reveal more about the challenges and opportunities she faces in her work during Fontaine Fashion Week.

In Version 4.5 of Genshin Impact, there will be two Event Wishes. The first one will feature Chiori and Arataki Itto, while the second one will include Neuvillette and Kaedehara Kazuha. Additionally, a new type of Wish called "Chronicled Wish" will be introduced in this version. This Wish will allow players to obtain various 5-star characters such as Albedo, Eula, Mona, Diluc, Klee, and Jean, along with more than 10 5-star weapons including Wolf's Gravestone and Hunter's Path. Players can choose their desired 5-star character or weapon, and the second 5-star item they get will be the one they wanted (if they didn't get it the first time).

Game Updates

In the latest version of Genshin Impact, there are new system optimizations to make the adventure and combat experience easier, especially for players in the early stages of the game.

The Paimon Menu has a "Training Guide" feature that provides useful tips and suggestions for enhancing characters in the player's party based on their level, weapons, artifacts, and talents. For example, if a player checks the recommendations for a certain character's weapon, the Training Guide will demonstrate how to ascend the equipped weapon, where to acquire ascension materials, and what weapons are usually equipped for said character according to other players.

Additionally, the character's Talents interface now displays upgrade materials, so players can quickly see which materials they need to upgrade their character's talents.

The release date of the Genshin Impact 4.5 update is March 13, 2024, featuring the debut of Chiori and Chronicled Wish. Gamers can enjoy cross-progression and Co-Op functions across various platforms, including PlayStation, PC, Android, and iOS.
