Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds by Netmarble has released a new update bringing a Cooking Competition episode, new rewards, the introduction of the Favor system, and more. The cooking event runs until September 21, 2022.

Overview

The new episode is now accessible, and you can assist Sophie in her quest to become a master chef in the Kingdom of Evermore.

An exciting cooking competition is about to begin in the kingdom. Clear all the episode-related missions and get your own Head Chef Hat Chest. Lots of other rewards await you as well.

How to participate?

This event is available if you have completed the main quest, "Missing Children."

In order to participate, there is the main cooking competition containing an episode-exclusive story and quests, as well as a new episode dungeon with three difficulty levels: normal, hard, and challenge mode. You must obtain an entry ticket if you wish to receive rewards from the dungeon, but you can still enter the dungeon without one. Among these rewards comprise a 4-star Sore Boar.

After completing the episode dungeon, you'll gain access to the Witch's Kitchen, where you can use the ingredients you've earned to prepare food in an event-specific minigame. Depending on your achievements and episode progress in the cooking competition, the episode pass grants you various rewards.

* The Final Reward can only be obtained upon clearing all event missions from all tiers.

* Upon using the [Head Chef Hat Chest], you can obtain a Head Chef Hat of your current class.

Notes:

- Each event mission can only be participated in once per account.

- The event mission rewards will be sent to your game inbox and stored for three days.

- To receive an event reward, tap the event mission tab after clearing the mission.

- The event period and its content may be subject to change.

Other Highlights

Ni no Kuni CW will also introduce a new Favor System involving the development of relationships with other characters. In the Familiars' Forest, players will be able to befriend NPCs and the people who tend to their crops and develop strong relationships with them. In addition, Netmarble will host a series of limited-time events to celebrate the release of this update.

The update also brings a new familiar, the Water/ATK Rare 4-star Puffu, a new Mount, and a new costume, the Chef Outfit.

The developers are also hosting a 100-day anniversary check-in event where players can take advantage of various rewards such as the elusive six-star Dimensional Deer, the rare four-star Equipment Selection Chest, and a month-long period. Completing the Sore Board Power Up event will reward players with a large number of Familiar power-up materials, as well as a Sore Bore.
