Call of Duty: Vanguard launches globally on PC, consoles

Activision has officially launched its first-person shooter game "Call of Duty: Vanguard" worldwide. It is the latest addition to the Call of Duty World War II games.

Vanguard features an unmatched depth of Call of Duty content, including a single-player story, twenty multiplayer maps on day one, and an all-new Zombies experience that delves deeper into the established story canon.

Moreover, Vanguard highlights the most profound integration with Warzone to date, which will launch the new Warzone Pacific on December 2, complete with the new map "Caldera."

Call of Duty Vanguard immerses players in the origins of Special Forces combat across four major theaters of World War II.

Vanguard, developed by Sledgehammer Games, takes players in an action-packed blockbuster campaign in which ordinary soldiers from diverse backgrounds rise to extraordinary feats and turn the tides of war.

Multiplayer begins with 20 maps, 12 Operators, and over three dozen Weapons in the redesigned Gunsmith. Vanguard multiplayer introduces new play methods with the Combat Pacing system and the fast-paced multi-arena survival Champion Hill mode. Vanguard also features a first-for-the-franchise Zombies crossover developed by Treyarch, which builds on the Dark Aether storyline introduced in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

Season One will introduce a brand-new map, Caldera, as well as a slew of new gameplay experiences, which are all for free. When Season One begins on December 2, Operator, Weapon, and Battle Pass progression will also be synchronized across Vanguard, Black Ops Cold War, and Modern Warfare.

The Ricochet Anti-Cheat system, which is launching alongside Vanguard, is a multifaceted approach to combating cheating. It includes new server-side tools that monitor analytics for cheating, enhanced investigation processes to root out cheaters, and account security updates. The back-end anti-cheat security features of Ricochet Anti-Cheat will also be available later this year with the launch of the Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific map on PC.

Vanguard is a unified progression system that enables interoperability between next-generation and current-generation systems. Players can anticipate a new level of social features that will bring friends together to play, as well as clan features and more. Vanguard's deep integration with Warzone includes the biggest amount of new release content ever for Warzone, including a new map, operators, weapons, and planes, as well as shared progression and exclusive access to Warzone Pacific for Vanguard owners beginning December 2.

Vanguard is now available worldwide on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC fully optimized for Battle.net, Blizzard Entertainment's online gaming service.
