Smart GigaLife adds GigaPay with PayMaya feature

Smart has announced that it had improved the GigaLife App experience by introducing GigaPay with PayMaya.

GigaPay with PayMaya is a payment feature in the GigaLife App that enables you to manage and link multiple payment methods to your GigaPay account, simplifying and streamlining the process of topping up, paying bills, purchasing your favorite GIGA promos, and availing of data.

Through GigaPay, all Smart Prepaid, Smart Postpaid, Smart Bro, Prepaid Home WiFi, and TNT subscribers can link their PayMaya account to the GigaLife App and use it to pay for in-app transactions.

This eliminates the need for users to switch between apps and log in to multiple accounts in order to top up their Smart account or subscriber to data promos. Rather than that, subscribers can now make these purchases directly from the GigaLife App via the GigaPay feature.

Upon its initial rollout, GigaPay users can also reload at all PayMaya cash-in touchpoints nationwide, track their transaction history, and earn additional GigaPoints that can be redeemed for data offers and exclusive perks on the Giga Life app.

Basas. "GigaPay with PayMaya is a huge step towards that direction as it makes transactions on the GigaLife App simple and hassle-free."

To get started, subscribers must first download or update the GigaLife App on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store to use GigaPay with PayMaya. After logging into the app, tap the GigaPay icon to link your existing PayMaya account with the app that will serve as your payment source.

Below is the guide on how to link an existing PayMaya account:

(Take note that this section launches the PayMaya web app from within the GigaLife app. Therefore, it is not required to download and install the PayMaya app to accomplish this.)

1. On your dashboard, swipe through the left-most part until you see the GigaPay screen, tap on it and select the "Link PayMaya" button.

2. On the Data & Personalization Screen, tick the two checkboxes confirming into GigaPay. Then tap the "Continue" button.

3. Enter your PayMaya account details and check your PayMaya enrolled number for the OTP to link and connect both accounts.

4. Confirm OTP (One-Time Password), and proceed.

5. Finally, tap on the "Approve and Activate GigaPay" button.

Those who do not already have a PayMaya account can easily create one and link it to GigaPay without exiting the GigaLife App. After activating GigaPay, purchasing load and subscribing to promotions on the GigaLife App is as simple as clicking on your preferred offer and swiping across your screen to confirm your purchase.

Besides PayMaya, GigaPay also supports credit/debit cards, including Mastercard, Visa, and JCB, as well as Over-The-Counter (OTC) and bank transfer. More payment options will become available in future releases. In addition, you can link up to five (5) payment methods to a single GigaPay account per user.

Regarding transaction fees, using your GigaPay account will have no fees. However, in the case of adding money into your GigaPay linked e-wallets, there may be corresponding fees depending on the linked payment source.

The balance of your GigaPay account will not expire. If your balance is decreasing, you've possibly made a transaction with your PayMaya. Any transactions you do on PayMaya will also decrease your GigaPay balance.

Using GigaPay will also earn you GigaPoints. GigaPay will follow the points-earning scheme for GigaPoints.
