Lenovo introduces several new consumer innovations at CES 2021, including the IdeaPad 5G, IdeaPad 5i Pro, IdeaPad 5 Pro, Lenovo Tab P11, Yoga AIO 7, Lenovo L27e-30 Monitor, Lenovo L24i-30 Monitor, LAVIE MINI, LAVIE Pro Mobile, Yoga Slim 7i Pro (OLED version), Lenovo ThinkReality A3 smart glass, and new X1 portfolio. The CES 2021 is an all-digital experience taking place from January 11 to 14, 2021.
IdeaPad 5G
The new IdeaPad 5G features a 14-inch (1920x1080) IPS display with 300 nits of brightness and 100% sRGB coverage. This 14" ultra-portable laptop is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx 5G chipset, a 7nm processor with full support for Windows 10. This powerful CPU utilizes Qualcomm Adreno 680 graphics and the Qualcomm Snapdragon X55 Modem-RF system for connectivity. The low TDP (thermal design power) also allows for a fanless design and a perfectly noiseless operation.
The IdeaPad 5G offers up to 20 hours of battery life of continuous video playback. It supports different wireless technologies, including 5G (supports sub-6 GHz), 4G LTE, and Wi-Fi 5 connectivity. It also has a SIM card slot. Where 5G is unavailable, users can enjoy more security and dependability via 4G LTE connectivity, which comes default on the new IdeaPad 5G laptop.
Also available is the 14-inch Lenovo IdeaPad 4G/LTE model powered by the Snapdragon 8c CPU, offering smooth and responsive performance. With the IdeaPad 5G and the IdeaPad 4G/LTE, users can also get up to 8GB LPDDR4X memory and 512GB of PCIe SSD storage.
Other specs and features include user-facing speakers optimized with Dolby Audio, dual array microphone, Instant-on with Modern Standby, IR camera, 51WHr battery coupled with 65W Rapid Charge Express, USB Type-C port, and 90% screen ratio. It comes with a super-portable size of 2.6 lbs (1.2kg) and 0.59 inches (14.9 mm) thin. It is available in Light Silver color.
The Lenovo IdeaPad 5G is expected to launch in select markets soon but will not be available in North America at this time. Price is yet to be announced and will vary by region.
IdeaPad 5i Pro (with Intel) and IdeaPad 5 Pro (with AMD)
These new IdeaPad laptops have all-metal chassis and are offered in two screen sizes – 14" and 16", weighing 1.45 kg and 2 kg, respectively. Both screens have a 16:10 aspect ratio, a first on a Lenovo IdeaPad family. The larger 16" laptop sports an IPS LCD with 2.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 350 nits brightness. The 14" display is clearer and brighter with 2.8K resolution and 400 nits of brightness. The 14" display variant has an option for its 90 Hz refresh rate screen, in which users can press Fn+R to go into HRR mode (higher refresh rate).
The IdeaPad 5i Pro comes with up to the latest Intel Core i7 11th Gen CPU and Nvidia MX450 graphics. It also has 16GB DDR4 RAM. The latest IdeaPad 5 Pro is powered by the next-gen AMD Ryzen Mobile Processors with optional Nvidia GeForce RTX discrete graphics and up to 32 GB DDR4 RAM for the 16" model, while the 14" one gets only an MX450 GPU and up to 16 GB DDR4 RAM. All variants have an SSD up to 1 TB (PCIe M.2). The Lenovo Q-Control feature lets users press Fn+Q to toggle between maximum performance and battery saving mode.
The 16" variant has a 75 WHr battery, while the 14" model gets a battery capacity of 56.5 WHr that can be charged over its Thunderbolt 4 port. These laptops also feature a 3D ToF sensor and Glance software by Mirametrix, which observe your attentiveness, like pausing your video if you move away from the laptop.
Other highlights include Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, TÃœV Rheinland display certification, IR camera with Windows Hello, Show Mode from Alexa, Intelligent Cooling Mode, larger trackpad, improved keyboard with optional backlighting, and speakers enhanced by Dolby Atmos. They are available in Cloud Grey or Storm Grey colors.
The Intel-powered IdeaPad 5i Pro models are expected to be available in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) in March 2021. The 16" variant will start at €899, the 14" model from €699. The IdeaPad 5i Pro will not be available in North America at this time.
The availability of the Ryzen-powered IdeaPad 5 Pro is divided into two regions. The 16" version is expected to launch in North America, with price starting at $1,149.99 and will be available in May 2021. The 14" variant won't be available in North America but is expected to be available in EMEA instead, launching in March 2021 at €799.00.
Lenovo Tab P11
The new Lenovo Tab P11 features an 11-inch IPS LCD with high-definition 2K (2000 x 1200) resolution, a Snapdragon 662 SoC, and an 8MP selfie camera. It has aluminum-alloy chassis for a sturdy design. It comes with preloaded Microsoft Office apps (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, OneNote, and PowerPoint) and the popular productivity apps from Google Play.
This tablet packs a 7500mAh battery, which can last up to 15 hours of usage at full charge. It runs on Android 10, coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of expandable storage.
Other features bundled are LTE and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, TÃœV Rheinland display certification, Kids Space from Google, Smart Privacy feature, quad speakers backed by Dolby Atmos, ultra-thin Keyboard Pack, Lenovo Precision Pen 2, Lenovo Smart Charging Station 2, and a new Folio Case.
The Lenovo Tab P11 (4+64GB version) will sell for $229.99 starting later this month.
Lenovo Yoga AIO 7
The innovative Yoga AIO 7 is an all-in-one desktop PC that takes up less space with a rotating display. Its exclusive rotatable hinge feature allows users to personalize their setup effortlessly. It also has integrated wireless casting hardware, where users can activate the display remotely from a tablet or smartphone without turning on their desktop manually.
The Lenovo Yoga AIO 7 is the world's first all-in-one desktop computer screen with a 27-inch 4K IPS LCD display supporting both 99 percent DCI-P3 and 99 percent Adobe RGB color standards for impressive visuals.
The desktop is powered by the excellent performance of up to AMD Ryzen 7 4800H processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU. It runs on Windows 10 OS coupled with 32 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB PCIe NVMe SSD.
It also features Alexa, user-facing JBL Harman-certified stereo speakers, and bundled accessories, including a wireless keyboard, mouse, and detachable top-placed 5M web camera. It is available in Cloud Grey and Moon White colors.
The Lenovo Yoga AIO 7 (also known as Yoga 27 in China) is available in Mainland China and will be available in select markets in February 2021, starting at $1,599. The Yoga AIO 7 is currently not available in North America.
Lenovo L24i-30 and L27e-30 Monitors
The Lenovo L24i-30 and Lenovo L27e-30 are two stylishly thin consumer IPS monitors. The premium In-Plane Switching (IPS) panels deliver crisp and clean images at wide-viewing angles. Both monitor stands have hidden cable management features and an integrated smartphone holder for better cable management and tidier personal space.
Lenovo L24i-30 and Lenovo L27e-30's display can also be tilted. Users can also choose from two sturdy builds: either the sophisticated all-metal stand of the new Lenovo L24i-30, accented with trendy bi-color elements, or the simple elegance of the Lenovo L27e-30's sculpted Graphite Grey stand. They are outlined in Raven Black and crafted as ultra-slim with a head as thin as 7.1mm and near-edgeless on three sides.
The Lenovo L24i-30 has a 23.8-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS display, while the Lenovo L27e-30 comes with a 27-inch display. It also features advanced anti-glare and Eye Comfort technology certified by TUV Rheinland, AMD FreeSync technology, screen refresh rates of up to 75Hz, and Lenovo Artery software platform.
The Lenovo L27e-30 Monitor will sell for $189.99 and is expected to be available starting March 2021. On the other hand, the Lenovo L24i-30 Monitor will be available in March 2021 at $159.99.
LAVIE MINI and LAVIE Pro Mobile
The latest LAVIE devices from NEC Personal Computers, Ltd., a joint venture company of Lenovo and NEC Corporation, are also announced at CES. The device has a laptop-portable gaming console hybrid concept that includes a touchscreen, controller, and dock accessories.
LAVIE MINI is a pocket-sized convertible PC. The device has an 8-inch touchscreen with a 1920x1200 resolution and an 11th Gen Intel Processor with Xe graphics. It comes in Crystal White color and weighs only 579 grams (1.28lbs) without the controller attached.
Under the hood rests a battery capacity of up to 26WHr, Wi-Fi 6, plus up to 256GB SSD of storage and large 16GB LPDDR4 of memory. Other features include Modern Standby, IR camera with Windows Hello for zero-touch login, and circular-shaped numeric and symbol keys.
The LAVIE Pro Mobile boasts long-lasting battery life and a more comfortable typing experience with an improved 1.5mm key travel. An optimized lift-up hinge function also tilts the keyboard up to 180 degrees for an increased typing pitch of 19mm. This lightweight laptop consists of next-gen materials such as a carbon fiber cover.
The device offers up to 11th Gen Intel Core i7 with Intel Iris Xe graphics. It weighs under 889 grams (1.95lbs) with an ultraslim body of 16.7mm (0.66 inches), perfect for carrying anywhere. Its large battery can last up to 10 hours of continuous usage. It comes in a rich Navy Blue color with a bright 13.3-inch display.
The pricing and availability of LAVIE MINI are not available at this time. The LAVIE Pro Mobile laptop will sell for $1,699.99.
Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Pro (OLED version)
The latest Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Pro (OLED version) laptop features a 14-inch OLED screen produced by Samsung Display, offering a 90Hz refresh rate and up to 2.8K (2880x1800) resolution. The laptop comes with up to the latest 11th Gen Intel Core mobile processors with Intel Iris Xe graphics or up to NVIDIA GeForce MX450 GPU. This new Yoga laptop can be configured with up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB PCIe SSD storage.
The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Pro (OLED version) also comes equipped with 100% DCI-P3, 125% sRGB color gamut, and Dolby Vision to provide a more realistic HDR experience. It also has reduced blue light emissions by up to 70% compared to an LCD for comfortable viewing and eye health. Other features include hands-free login, Intelligent Cooling mode, Harman speakers and Dolby Atmos, IR Camera (dual mics), Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, 61 WHr Battery, USB Type-C, USB-A, and Audio Combo Jack.
The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Pro OLED version has a dimension of 12.3 x 8.7 x 0.7 inches, weighing up to 3.2 lbs, and comes in Slate Grey color. Details on Yoga Slim 7i Pro OLED version pricing and availability are yet to be announced.

Lenovo ThinkReality A3 smart glass: An AR smart glass powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR1 Platform and features stereoscopic 1080p displays presenting the user with up to 5 virtual displays. There's also an 8MP RGB camera that provides 1080p video for remote expert use cases, while the dual fish-eye cameras provide room-scale tracking. It will be available in select markets worldwide starting mid-2021.
ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga: This is Lenovo's thinnest ThinkPad yet. It is covered in titanium material, 11mm thin, and features an impressive 3:2 ratio 13.5-inch low power display, along with Dolby Vision HDR support and Dolby Atmos Speaker System. It is also 5G-ready. It will be available starting January 2021, with prices starting at $1,899.
ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9 and X1 Yoga Gen 6: Both laptops have a 16:10 aspect ratio display with a low blue light feature, an integrated fingerprint reader on the power button, and new ComputerVision Experiences (CVx) for enhanced security. They are also equipped with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos Speaker System and are the world's first laptops to support Dolby Voice. ThinkPad X1 Carbon will be available starting February 2021, with prices starting from $1,429. ThinkPad X1 Yoga will be available beginning February 2021, with prices starting from $1,569.
ThinkPad X12 Detachable: This device combines the features of a high-performance laptop with the flexibility of a 12.3-inch detachable tablet. This device's display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and supports input from the optional Lenovo Precision Pen or Lenovo Digital Pen and backlit folio keyboard. It will be available starting in January 2021, with prices starting from $1,149.
ThinkPad Docking solutions: The new ThinkPad Thunderbolt 4 and USB-C Universal and Smart Docks are designed to address dock manageability pain points brought by increased work-from-anywhere scenarios. Details for availability and pricing will be available later.
New Legion lineup: The new Legion laptops are powered by AMD Ryzen 5000 H-series Mobile Processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3000 Series GPUs. The lineup includes Legion 7 (16" 165Hz IPS display), Legion Slim 7 (15.6" 144Hz IPS display), Legion 5 Pro (16" 165Hz IPS display), and Legion 5 (15.6" 165Hz IPS display and 17" 144Hz IPS display).
New ThinkBook lineup: The new ThinkBook family includes ThinkBook Plus Gen 2 (bigger e-ink display), ThinkBook 13x (11th Gen Intel Core CPU), and laptops powered by AMD Ryzen 5000 Series Mobile CPU and NVIDIA GeForce Next-Gen Laptop GPU, including ThinkBook 14p Gen 2, and ThinkBook 16p Gen 2.
