Realme 7 and Realme 7 Pro are the new budget mid-range smartphones of the Chinese smartphone company, realme. These phones were launched on September 30, 2020 in the Philippines. They are the successors of Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro. Both Realme 7 and 7 Pro come with improved cameras, bigger batteries, and faster charging.
Realme 7 Features
The Realme 7 is built around the same 6.5" Full HD+ 90Hz LCD display as its predecessor Realme 6, and is the world's first smartphone to have the newly announced MediaTek Helio G95 CPU, which is a mild upgrade over Realme 6's Helio G90T. The Realme 7 design is inspired by the mirror space in nature. It features two beautiful colors Mist White and Mist Blue.
The MediaTek Helio G95 Octa-core processor with 2.05Ghz clock speed offers an improved experience in performance and gaming, especially while processing heavy graphics-oriented tasks. The carbon fiber cooling keeps performance up to speed, preventing realme 7 from over heating. This chipset achieved an average score of 300,000 points in Antutu benchmark which makes it a strong player in its segment.
It has a battery capacity of 5000mAh, larger than its predecessor with 4300mAh. Realme claims the 30W Dart Charger can charge the battery from 0 to 100% in 65 minutes, while it will only take 26 minutes when charged from 0 to 50%, which are pretty impressive charging times. One full charge of 5000mAh provides an average usage time of up to 48 hours of voice calls, 9 hours of gaming, 15 hours of movie streaming, or 81 hours of listening to music.
The realme 7 also sports a 2nd Generation Sony IMX682 64MP Quad Camera, a 16MP selfie shooter on the front and supports many amazing advanced camera features like Starry mode, Night filters, UIS & UIS MAX, Ultra Wide-angle Videos and more. The rear quad camera is composed of 64MP main shooter, 8MP ultra-wide shooter, a 2MP monochrome portrait lens, and a 2MP macro camera. The game changer this time is the Sony IMX682 sensor that offers a high quality HDR over its predecessors. It not only enhances the overall colors but also optimizes photos to turn out a lot more detailed. The sensor itself is a 2nd generation sensor that has added advantages over the 1st generation one. The Realme 7 provides the smoothest experience in this segment. Realme 7 Pro Features
Realme 7 Pro is powered by the same Snapdragon 720G SoC found on the 6 Pro, but it brings in some solid improvements over its predecessor in some other departments. The major improvement is the 65W SuperDart charging, which is currently only available on some of the company's more premium X series models. Realme claims it can charge the 7 Pro's 4,500 mAh battery from 0 to 100% in 34 minutes.
The realme 7 Pro is equipped with the 65W SuperDART which is 3 times faster than 33W and charges incredibly fast. You can enjoy an uninterrupted gaming and entertainment experience while charging with its High Current Low Voltage solution that's safe and efficient. Dual 3C Cells is what makes it possible to pump the battery with such a blazing speed. The combination of two batteries allows it to consume more voltage which is generally set to 5V. With this, not only the phone charges up quickly, but it also refrains the battery from getting damaged or without reducing its overall life cycle.
The Realme 7 Pro is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G. This processor is based on an advanced 8nm process, making it more powerful and efficient. It is also equipped with Kryo 465 CPU with a maximum clock-speed of 2.3GHz, and a powerful Adreno 618 GPU, which delivers powerful performance and awesome gaming experience.
It comes with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Display that has a 98% NTSC colour gamut. The diameter of the camera punch hole is only 3.69mm, so the screen-to-body ratio reaches 90.8%. Hence, a more immersive visual experience, better image quality and brighter colours. The resolution of the screen is Full HD+, but the refresh rate has been dropped from 90Hz to 60Hz. It has also Always-on Display and an in-display fingerprint scanner as opposed to the side-mounted one that came with its predecessor.
The Realme 7 Pro has the same camera specs as the non-pro. It is equipped with a 64MP main shooter (IMX682), 8MP ultra-wide, a 2MP monochrome portrait lens, and a 2MP macro camera. The Sony IMX682 Sensor comes with improved pixel performance, it has an incredible light-sensing ability, 1/1.73" super large size sensor, 64MP super high pixels that support Quad Bayer and pixel size up to 1.6 micrometer. Even in low light, your pictures will come out super bright. The 32MP in-display selfie camera supports Portrait Bokeh, HDR, AI beautification ensuring you get sharper and clearer selfies, even in the dark with the added Nightscape mode.
The Realme 7 Pro's dual stereo speakers are enhanced by Dolby Atmos. Other highlights of the Realme 7 Pro include a USB Type-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, dedicated microSD card slot or the 3-card slot, NavIC, and dual-frequency GPS support.
